What are my feet saying, part two.

This is part two of my most read blog post ‘what are my feet saying’! So I thought today I would talk about some other things we look at when we ‘read your feet’. As part of my training I was introduced to the notion of ‘Foot Reading’, but I’ve since done further training and bought a few books on it too!

Please do take Foot Reading with a pinch of salt! For some, the meanings can really resonate but for others it doesn’t – this isn’t an exact science because your feet are influenced by so many things; emotional and physical. In my last blog post I spoke about how I disagreed with some things the leading foot readers had suggested. Where things are on your foot is also important. For example, if it is in your toes this could be related to your thoughts or opinions. If it is around the ball of your foot it could be around your feelings and emotions and so on.

Here are some of the things I most commonly see and what they can mean emotionally:

These interpretations are based on two leading foot readers Sam Belyea & Jane Sheehan:

  1. The colour of your the nail varnish you choose/are drawn is argued to have a meaning.
    • Red; could mean you are ambitious and you put energy into your goals
    • White; may mean you are feeling stressed and are drawn to white to bring peace & to overcome the issues causing the stress.
    • Black – is the colour of control, including if you want to control(reduce) negativity in your life, or you want to be step forward and face your fears.
    • Pink – it is the colour of love. Pink nails may mean that you want or need more love (including self-love) in your life
  2. Dry skin, particularly dry toes can indicate exhaustion (physical or mental exhaustion). The toes are your head, eyes, ears, mouth and sinuses. So it has been suggested that the body is working hard on trying to heal those areas, if you have dry skin on your toes. Jane suggested you need to take care of yourself with some self-care and nurturing (both physically and emotionally).
  3. In grown toenails – similarly to above where the toes are linked to mental stress, sinuses, eyes, ears etc.. An ingrown toenail has been argued by Sam to indicate that something in these areas are ‘derailed’ and so the toenail is growing out of balance. Jane takes this further to explain she thinks an ingrown toenail indicates you are trying too hard to protect your ideas.
  4. A tattoo on the foot can mean something too, dependent on where it is!
