Okay, so I know I might be a bit biased… but honestly, I think reflexology is better than massage. Loads of my clients tell me the same! Don’t get me wrong, massage is great, but reflexology can be surprisingly powerful when it comes to helping you unwind.
Why Reflexology Can Feel More Relaxing
One of the big reasons people fall in love with reflexology (and keep coming back) is that there’s no digging into sore muscles like you sometimes get with a massage. While massage can feel amazing, it can also be a bit uncomfortable and sometimes it hurts.
Reflexology, on the other hand, is gentle. By working on specific points on your feet or face, it helps your whole body relax without any “ouch” moments. I often have clients say they’re shocked by how calm and peaceful they feel afterwards. Some even say they feel like they’re floating out the door!
What About the Benefits?
Massage is brilliant if you need those muscles worked on, especially if you’re feeling tight or sore. But reflexology is all about tapping into your body’s natural ability to rebalance and heal. By working on reflex points that connect to different parts of your body, it helps you relax and encourages your body to feel more “in tune.”
Plenty of people who aren’t keen on the pressure of massage find reflexology just as effective (if not better!) for releasing tension and feeling more at ease.
So, Which One’s for You?
If you love the feeling of having your muscles worked on with really firm pressure, then massage might be your thing. But if you want a deeply relaxing experience that leaves you feeling calm and totally chilled out — reflexology could be your new favourite.
If you’ve never tried it before, why not give it a go? You might be surprised just how amazing it feels!
I offer Foot Reflexology and Facial Reflexology. (Plus Crystal Reflexology, Baby Reflexology and Pregnancy Reflexology) so there is plenty to choose from.
