Why I offer Fertility Reflexology

I kept this secret for a long time, it was just between me and my husband; but we tried to conceive for many years. We tried just about everything there is to try; naturopathic drinks, supplements, diets, cutting out certain toxins, reading pretty much every book there was out there about how to improve fertility (and then trying their suggestions for a while). However, nothing like that helped. I am pretty sure that without IVF we still wouldn’t have our little girl now, but even that didn’t work first time for us.

One of the things that I did try in the last year of trying to conceive, and throughout our IVF journey was Fertility Reflexology. For me, it helped me feel like I was in control, it helped me to sleep better, helped me worry a little less (because doesn’t infertility or trying for a baby just fill your thoughts!?) and it was one of the things from the process of TTC that I enjoyed.

Don’t get me wrong, there are some people that say fertility reflexology alone has helped them, that wasn’t my story, but I do believe it is their’s.

But, if I can offer Fertility Reflexology to other people, and support them in the way I felt supported then that is something that will fill my heart with joy.

What makes Fertility Reflexology different to ‘normal’ Reflexology

As part of the consultation form I will ask questions specifically related to fertility, including asking for the results of any testing you have had. If you haven’t had any tests yet, don’t worry – you can still have fertility reflexology and actually maybe it may be helpful to chat through in your session about what tests I think may be helpful to chat through with your GP.

During the treatment session, I will focus on your hormonal reflex areas. These will change dependent on where you are in your cycle, whether you are in assisted reproduction (such as IVF, or IUI), and any conditions you may have or are suspecting (such as endometriosis). Your reflexology treatment plan will be different to the next person’s reflexology treatment plan.

It’s still a relaxing, and lovely treatment and you may not notice much difference to a ‘normal’ reflexology treatment, but I promise it is.

Fertility Reflexology Options

There are a few ways you could experience Fertility Reflexology with me here in Colchester, and a special offer for regular treatments.

Deluxe Fertility Reflexology – a 90 minute treatment where you experience relaxing facial reflexology, before I move on to Foot Reflexology (and you can include crystals too if you would like).
Fertility Foot Reflexology – a 60 minute treatment where I focus on your foot reflexes.

How Often Should I Have Fertility Reflexology?

Ideally, if you could have Fertility Reflexology weekly, that’s amazing because as we know, our cycle is ever changing.

The second best option if you can’t have weekly treatments is to have a treatment at the very beginning of your cycle, and just before/during ovulation.

However, if that’s not possible because of your schedule or finances, I would really recommend at least monthly sessions (ideally just before ovulation).
